FINALLY HOME!!!!!!

Well this month has been just chock full of ups and downs. An update is that after being home for less than 2 weeks I was called back home last Friday to let me know that it was THE END for my pepaw. I made it home and within twenty minutes of my arrival he passed. I have had the blessing in my life to have had a multitude of grandparents. When I was born in 1974 I had living 2 complete sets of grandparents a set of great grandparents, and two great grandmothers. For this I am greatful. The first to pass was memaw. She passed in 1983. Then in 1990 my pawpaw passed. Both of the great people were in their 80's when they passed living long and full lives. After I married, my gran gran passed in 1997 then we moved to Alaska. In 2000 my mimaw passed. She waited until we got home to see her 1st great great granddaughter. That was the last of the great's. This is the first of the grands to pass. Pepaw was a man of the military and some odd quirks too. BUT he loved his kids and grand kids and great grandkids. I now have 3 grandparents left in my life. One of which is iffy on how long she will last. These people have helped shape and mold me for the good and bad of me. I loved them all and remember them lovingly for different things. I will be posting my socks that I have finished in that time soon.

My heart goes out to you with all that you have been given to bear lately. Know that you will be in my prayers, for I have walked in your shoes. At first you don't know how you will survive but the the help of family and friends, both old and new, you do. And in the future when you can look back without so many tears you are amazed at what you have accomplished. When my children's father walked out on us, I was devastated and as were the children. But now 20 years later, my cycles of depression are few and far between and my children are both happily married. And the best thing - 4 fantastic grand children.

Don't be ashamed to ask for help. There are a large number of us here on the internet and in you neighborhood that will be more than willing to loan you a shoulder to cry on.
